Since I've Been Gone:

A lot of shit in my life has changed since I last posted here...

I’ve moved positions at work, and while I am happy with the area that I am working on now, I have gone and applied for an amazing position that I think I would be perfect for in a very different area of the Department. I’ll tell you more about it if I’m lucky enough to get an interview, but suffice to say it would be a huge change of pace and environment!

I’d stopped enjoying fashion when I last posted, and I've spent the ensuing two months umming and ahhing about what I want to do with my life, generally getting around in Jeans and T-shirt combinations and not really caring how I looked. The more I focused on fashion being a career for me the less fun it was and the more I wanted out. So, I’ve pushed that career path aside for the foreseeable future.

I’m writing again, and looking at potentially returning to study in 2012. The stuff that I am writing is only short stories for now, and I'm thinking of entering a few local competitions and working on a few ideas for novels. It’s creative, it feels right, and in the past I’ve been told I’m good at it. I’m hoping to share some writing with you in the future too.

And, the cherry on top of the cake, is that the boyfriend and I have taken a plunge and moved in together. This is the third week I’ve been living in a new suburb, a new house, and a new world. We’re still very much settling in and trying to find room for our combined stuff, but already it feels like home, and I couldn’t be happier.

So – that’s what you’ve missed. I’m excited to be Blogging again and to have all these crazy things going on in my life that make me happy and excited. If you’re still reading, thank you for waiting for me. If you’re new here, welcome. And if you’ve lost interest or moved on I completely understand. I’m not really sure what the future holds for Ink & Leather, but I intend to find out, and I hope you’ll come along for the ride.
